Bel Air

Famous for the popular 90s series starring Will Smith "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air", Bel Air is one of the most exclusive residential neighbourhoods in Los Angeles and is home to some of the most luxury homes.

History

This elegant neighbourhood was created in 1923 when Alphonzo Bell found oil on his farm and purchased a large ranch that was divided up into large residential lots. Bel Air was designed as part of the so-called "Golden Triangle" along with two other high-class neighbourhoods; Beverly Hills and Holmby Hills.

Today

Currently, Bel Air is a quiet residential neighbourhood of luxury properties where endless plots of land surround magnificent mansions. Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Aniston, Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift and Ronald Reagan are some of the celebrities who have lived there.

Most tourists visit Bel Air because it features in the famous series "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" starring Will Smith, or just to see some of the incredible mansions and take a picture with the big Bel Air sign.
