If you're in Los Angeles, don't miss the this Santa Barbara Day Trip. You'll discover its charming colonial architecture and you'll get to visit Hearst Castle.
Santa Barbara Day Trip
We'll meet at 6:30 am on Fairfax Boulevard, and head to Northern California, leaving behind the glamour of Hollywood and the city of Los Angeles to travel into the past and into the colonial era.
After a 2 hour journey, we'll arrive in Santa Barbara, a city situated between the Santa Ynez mountains and the immense blue of the Pacific Ocean, something that gives this place a special charm.
Known as the "American Riviera", this coastal town is one of the symbols of the splendour of Southern California and the 1950s and 1960s. In fact, film lovers will recognize some of the corners, as it was here that the famous film "The Graduate" was shot.
You'll also witness the beautiful colonial architecture, where the colours red and white are particularly striking. Did you know that the city was completely destroyed by an earthquake in 1812? But it still retains the remains of its Spanish past and of Governor Pío Pico's passage.
Afterwards, we'll go to Solvang, a small Danish village inspired by Europe. There, we'll walk along its picturesque streets and visit its shops.
Our next stop will be Hearst Castle, built by press magnate William Randolph Hearst. Here, we'll enjoy walking through the different parts of this impressive building while discovering some of the most curious stories of the rich and famous of the area who frequented the castle during the 20th century.
Finally, we'll take you back to Los Angeles, arriving at around 7 pm.
If you want to discover Santa Barbara in a more exclusive way, you can book our private tour. You'll be able to share the experience with whoever you want, and you'll have a guide at your disposal to discover the most special places of this Californian city.
